Domaine Marquis D'Angerville Volnay Premier Cru-Les Taillepieds has a saturated ruby-red color and exudes very ripe aromas of blackberry and dark chocolate, giving it an almost liqueur-like quality. In the mouth, it is dense and juicy, with vibrant acidity, although it doesn't quite have the texture or early balance of the Caillerets. The intense flavors of dark berries, licorice, and mint are combined with chocolaty and slightly medicinal notes.
