Hidalgo Oloroso Faraon is a fortified Sherry wine, with 18% vol, which falls into the Oloroso category. It undergoes oxidative aging. From the outset, it is fortified to 17% alcohol by volume, which prevents the formation of the flor layer, resulting in slow aging through the criaderas and solera methods, with continuous exposure to oxygen, for 6 to 12 years. The grapes for its production come from the Balbiana and Miraflores regions. It has an amber color and intense aromas, mainly of dried fruits. It has a rich, smooth, and balanced flavor.
