The Chateau Talbot Saint Julien has a deep grenat color with purple highlights and an evolving nose initially characterized by floral aromas of violet, rose, and lavender along with scents of black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, and blackcurrant. Characteristic aromatic profile with herbal and medicinal elements such as eucalyptus and mint, as well as tertiary evolution of aromas into notes of cedar, tobacco, and leather. On the palate, it is dry with strong and intense tannins, medium to full body, flavors of red forest fruits, plum, with herbal notes. Pleasant on the palate with great potential for evolution and a long finish. It pairs ideally with grilled lamb and roasted lamb with garlic and rosemary, with grilled beef, game, veal, steaks, beef cooked in red wine, cheese platters, and cured meats.
